XenoChop v1.0

A Windows 10+ compatible VST3 plugin for creating complex ratchets and chopped gate effects. Inspired by the ratchet effects I was once able to make with the Camel Audio Alchemy Mobile application, this plugin allows for a bar to be broken into 4, 8, 16 or 32 steps and then apply a 1x, 2x, 3x or 4x ratchet effect on each step.

As with the XenoGate effect, Swing can be added to offset every second step to create unique and interesting grooves. The bottom section of the plugin is tabbed and has a dedicated envelope tab that allows for fine-grained control over each chop as well as displays a real-time waveform for each chop.

A built in filter adds the secret sauce that made the Alchemy app so compelling – set the filter to Bandpass and modulate it with your host’s modulation tools to create truly unique sounds. Useful for all electronic music genres, particularly psytrance, techno, dubstep and trap among others.
